i'm in my 30s, and live in hawai'i with my bf and our cat, dog star.
i grew up loving computers. i spent countless hours playing the original sims, old school runescape, and exploring whatever weird corners of the internet i could find. when i was around 8-10 years old, i learned enough html to decorate my neopets pet pages, and i thought it was the coolest thing ever. i loved that you could build something that felt completely like you.
within the last year i quit social media because it just wasn't healthy for me anymore. i started feeling like the internet i loved was dead and gone, replaced by something cold and corporate.
finding neocities feels like opening a time capsule. i'm excited to relearn html and css, make lots of mistakes, and build a little home on the web again. i'm so happy that there are still people making personal websites just for the joy of it!
